At DTE, we are a family-owned, locally operated business rooted right here in Oak Hill, West Virginia. We don't just provide a service; we live in this community and are proud to provide stable jobs and long-term careers for local folks in Fayette County.
Before the official shop, our story started right at home in the garage. In 2009, we took the leap and opened Dependable Truck & Equipment Repair. We built this business completely from the ground up, right down to the physical structure of our first two-bay shop. Offering auto repairs, diesel service, and welding fabrication, we built and customized everything ourselves from day one to ensure the job was done right.
As we grew, so did our capabilities to serve our neighbors. In 2014, we officially added towing to our lineup, expanding our name to Dependable Truck & Equipment (DTE) Repair & Towing, though most folks around here just know us as DTE.
In 2018, we moved into our current building on Main Street in Oak Hill, expanding our space into a full 5-bay facility. Our growth didn't stop there. In 2023, we stepped into the heavy-duty world with the addition of our Western Star, and in 2024, adding our rotator truly locked us in as the go-to team for big rigs and complex recoveries.
Today, we operate a full 5-bay repair shop alongside an expanded fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks ensuring we are fully equipped to handle absolutely anything on the road. But as much as our equipment has changed since 2009, our core mission hasn't. We are still a locally owned business built by neighbors, for neighbors. We are proud to provide stable careers and local jobs right here in Fayette County, and we are constantly learning, growing, and improving our skills to better serve you. From the hook to the shop, we do it all with the same local pride we started with on day one.
